Ian's group visited Canyon Creek Park where they met with Amanda Begley to discuss how TreePeople advances a vision for a climate resilient Los Angeles. This group learned that TreePeople was started over 40 years ago by founder, Andy Lipkis when he was only 18 years old after he became inspired to make cities more sustainable.

Menelik's group went back to the Elysian Valley section of the LA River to meet with Steve Appleton, owner of Frogspot, founder of LA River Kayak Safari, former president of the Elysian Valley Neighborhood Council, artist, and entrepreneur.
