Hugo Garcia

In August, seniors visited the University Park area for a talk from Hugo Garcia, community organizer for environmental justice with Esperanza Community Housing. After discussing recent legislative efforts to curb urban oil drilling, students walked to Allenco, a recently defunct drilling site. From this visit, students considered whether their Advanced Impact Projects might be served by participating in the Policy & Advocacy track.
