A tour of the largest urban oil field in the country

Our Local Issues team of 9th and 10th graders learning about oil drilling in Los Angeles recently took a tour with Niki Wong (Redeemer Community Partnership) and Hugo Garcia (Esperanza Community Housing), both of the STAND-LA (Stand Together Against Neighborhood Drilling) coalition. Students visited three different sites in the Downtown LA area, ending at the Jefferson drill site, which STAND-LA has successfully shut down.
